I ran across a post on the old/defunct jackinchat website several years ago that caught my eye. I actually copy and pasted and saved it. Struck a cord with me. I guess I share sentiments of most of what he said.
I reposted it recently on xnxx.com (out of sheer boredom) and the replies were hate and ridicule. I've got a very thick internet skin and am not hurt/offended/upset etc. but honestly wondered what drove their negativity.

Interesting post, don't understand the negative replies either. Not really familiar with xnxx (other then the vids). But I think everyone masturbates and wishes that it would be less taboo in real life. Masturbation is an hobby I only share online. How nice would it be to just be open about it "how was your weekend" "great, been stroking a lot" "Nice, me too".

But I think it still has that stigma of being sad and lonely and masturbating with a guy being gay. It is just masturbation and it would be great to share it with a bud, see how he does it, what turns him on. Really a fantasy of mine.

Puzzles me as well, always has.   There were times in the past when the conversation you mentioned was fairly open, but people's lives and situations change for sure.   Now more what I see and hear are allusions to it among men who are in similar scenarios- married long term, kids, always busy with responsibilities,  commonly hear things like "finally the wife and kids will be gone for the weekend!" with an unsaid but obvious understanding. 

The tone of the original post tho is clearly the desire for attraction to and emotional, physical engagement in sex with another guy.   That's fine, if that's what someone wants.  There are a lot of us guys who don't have any desire for that, it just does nothing at all, or rather it just does not exist in our brains.  THat should be fine too- but almost always on the discussion boards I've been a part of, "straight" guys quickly become targets of ridicule and hate from the ones who ARE sexually attracted to other guys-  and they loudly proclaim "you must be a liar, if you're here!"   It's bullshit.   

I have zero interest in getting naked with other guys and jerking each other off.  It just doesn't register for me.   But In-Person sharing our interest in porn and things that get us off, getting off together to the same things,  trading materials we've saved which we particularly like, discussing things, tributing the same pics, that would be lots of fun I think, and shouldn't be taboo among consenting adults.
