That's a very good point. The culture wars out there marginalize trans people and it continues to get worse. Besides the sexual part of all of this, I have always tried my best to just be kind, courteous and respectful when meeting transgenders (or anyone else, for that matter). When I worked in retail, I often had customers who were transitioning and I  never treated them as a sex object or was condescending in any way. I simply did my best to just treat them like any other customer. I worked in Home Depot after retiring from my trade but I never acted like I was ever better than anyone because they didn't have my extensive experience and knowledge. It was always greatly appreciated by my customers.
 On the sexual side of this, my experience has always been with paid escorts. But even in that case, there is sometimes an underlying emotional element. The lady I lived with was one I had met as an escort and was my first sexual experience with a trans. We became friends and I helped her with some things at her home. But her and I often talked about how difficult the transition really is and also the hormone therapy when they start it can wreak havoc with their emotions so we should try to keep that in mind when having conversations with a TG/ TS.

One thing we haven't touched on is that the porn version of the shemale and also a lot of the pros out there get penis enhancements and are often a product of plastic surgery with fake tits and feminization. There are exceptions, of course but when someone is in hormone therapy for gender re-assignment, the treatment is more often than not going to make it difficult to get erections and also shrink their penis considerably. Many that I've met are bottom only because of that and I have discussed that at length with a few of them. Now, as I say, there are exceptions.
