Ages of Consent

1. Children under the age of 12 cannot consent to a sexual act under any circumstances.

2. Children ages 12 to 15 are able to consent to a sexual act as long as there is not a 4 year age
difference.

3. Children ages 16 & 17 are able to consent to a sexual act as long as the other party if not
over 30 years of age.

4. Person in a position of trust cannot engage in sexual intercourse with any child.

This is very true. "Statutory rape" is very unfair when both parties are consenting teens. An individuals life (not always a guy) is ruined because of the interpretation of the law.
