73 YO guy here, I have been keeping shaved down under for many years now. My pubes are pretty fine and I never have any ingrown or rash problems. A few swipes with a new blade in the shower every few days keeps things smooth and clean.

I first shaved a bit from my pubes so my hair wouldn't get caught in my cock ring.
Then I decided to try shaving my whole pubic area.
That worked out fine for a few days, but as my hair grew back in it became a serious source of irritation.
It took a few weeks to work out the best way to avoid itchy thighs and scrotum and it was simply a good aftershave balm and moisturiser.
Now I also use a depiliatory cream and I enjoy stroking a smoooooth cock.
