Now, covid is just an ordinary illness once or twice a year. Unless you have en underlying condition like compromised immune system or other illnesses, there is no need for further vaccination.

Thousands of medics - previously known as junior doctors - will walk out in the run-up to Christmas from December 17 to December 22.

Scientists have found that the risk of shingles may rise slightly in the weeks following a Covid booster shot.

The discovery comes from researchers at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, who analyzed electronic health records from more than two million people aged 12 and older who had received at least one Covid vaccine.

The study found that the risk of developing shingles within 28 days of vaccination increased by seven percent when all doses were combined and by 21 percent after the third, or booster, dose of an mRNA vaccine.

When I was 14, I had to go and see the doctor as I had some respiratory problems. It wasn't the usual Doctor which it was normal for back then but a different Dr He asked me questions and then asked me to sit on the edge of the examination table and remove my top. He had a listen with his stethoscope and then asked me if I would remove my bra, now I wasn't even then some shy little thing I'd have got my tits out and they 'd been played with plenty of times and the Dr asking me at first didn't seem unusual. again, he listened with his stethoscope and he even went round behind me and asked me to breathe in a couple of times but whilst behind me he placed his hand round and cupped my tit I knew this was a bit unusual. He then came back round the front and put his stethoscope places where he hadn't put them before Each time using his hand to cup my tit he then asked me to put my shoulders back and take some deep breaths in He was then standing beside me with his right hand blatantly and obviously feeling squeezing my tits I knew by now that this was nothing to do with medical he was just being a pervy old man and coping a feel while he could. I just sat there and smiled and let him, I guess if I'd have been younger and more naïve it might have been a major problem at time. he actually asked me to get dressed and then looked me in the face and said I was a very healthy young lady!

Doctors accused of rape and sexual harassment, sexual assault, have been left free to work in the NHS after being given unduly lenient sanctions.

New research, published on Thursday, shows more than a third of doctors, who faced tribunals over sexual misconduct in 2023-24, were allowed to return to work after being given short suspensions rather than being struck off.

This follows reports that the General Medical Council has had to challenge multiple cases in court in which the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service, responsible for ruling on fitness to practice hearings, has given more lenient sanctions to alleged sexual predators than proposed by the GMC.

In one case, a doctor was given a 12-month suspension by the service following an accusation of rape after a tribunal deemed it a "one-off"; in another, the MPTS was challenged over a decision not to sanction a doctor accused of touching a patient's breasts.

Now, a surgeon who was found to have sexually harassed multiple colleagues from 2009 to 2022 and made racist statements is allowed to work again, with one of his victims saying the MPTS decision has made her feel "utterly worthless and utterly let down by the system".

Last year, The Independent revealed that between 2018 and 2024, some 248 doctors faced allegations of rape, sexual assault or attempted rape without their licences being suspended.

Well everyone should review the research, which like all science, is continually evolving and make their own decision. Me I had one of the first jabs available worldwide and regular jabs and boosters ever since, I think that I'm up to 8 combined jabs at this point, between annual vax and boosters for evolving strains. Not only no ill effects, I'm quite healthy and fit. As always, "your mileage may vary."
